Beer bread (recipe)

Reading Time: 2 minutes

As this blog is mostly for me to have things ready to share, I might as well add recipes as people often ask me for them.

This one is really easy, no bread maker needed.

slices of bread on a kitchen cloth

You will need:

  • 660g of flour (plain one, not the self raising type)
  • 1 tea spoon of sugar
  • 3 tea spoons of salt
  • 1 sachet of fast action dried yeast
  • one pint of light cheap beer

Mix all but the beer. Then pour the pint and mix.

Put on a tray covered with baking paper. Leave to raise for an hour again.

Then in the oven 230ºC for 10min, then 180ºC for 25min

Bread just out of the oven, on a kitchen cloth
